Stephen N. Lipton has been a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator since 1996 and is Qualified Arbitrator with more than 40 years of practice as a trial attorney in complex commercial litigation and trials in state and federal courts. Mr. Lipton is available to mediate or arbitrate any commercial matter and is especially qualified in construction and real estate litigation. His trial practice included a wide variety of claims arising out of construction projects, real estate disputes, business contracts, antitrust and unfair trade practices, and governmental agency cases, as well as construction contracting in major public works projects. Mr. Lipton has a wealth of experience in construction and real estate litigation in cases involving defects in building design, construction products, job site disputes, condominium and high-rise construction, property ownership, land development issues, inverse condemnation and eminent domain. He has taught as an instructor in evidence at University of Miami School of Law and lectured to the Bar at CLE seminars. Mr. Lipton has degrees from University of Pennsylvania Law School (LL.B. 1966) and University of Pittsburgh (B.A. 1963). He is a member of the Florida Bar and the Pennsylvania Bar.

H. Hugh ("Terry") McConnell has practiced civil litigation in the state and federal courts of Florida since 1979, specializing in civil appeals and commercial and construction litigation. He was trained as a mediator in 1986, before the adoption of the mediation rules in Florida, and has mediated uncounted commercial and construction cases since then. He is certified as a mediator by the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida and by the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. McConnell also is a member of the Roster of Neutrals of the American Arbitration Association, is on the panel of arbitrators of the National Futures Association, and has conducted numerous securities, commodities and construction arbitrations. He has degrees from Yale University (B.A. 1966), University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (M.R.P. 1970), and Northeastern University (J.D. 1976). Mr. McConnell has served as an adjunct professor in law and ethics at the University of Miami, Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, and is a regular guest lecturer in construction law at the University of Miami School of Law.
