Aircraft Transactions

Kimberly Barbar, who heads up McConnell Lipton’s aircraft practice, brings our clients considerable experience in the field of aircraft transactions relating to the sale, purchase and leverage leasing of commercial, corporate and private aircraft.

Ownership: Representative aircraft transactions have included ownership acquisitions and dispositions, operating leases, public and private asset-based securitizations, cross-border financings, interchange arrangements and shared-ownership relationships. Ms. Barbar’s experience includes corporate and private aircraft and extends as well to the sale, acquisition and operation of fixed base operations (FBOs).

Finance: We draw on Ms. Barbar’s knowledge of aircraft structured finance to assist our clients in evaluating the most suitable financing for a particular transaction. Our perspective and approach in this field allows us to assist and counsel clients with the negotiation and execution of aircraft operating leases, maintenance agreements, interchange agreements, novation agreements, lease and debt restructurings, purchase and sale agreements and shared-ownership agreements.

Experience: Kimberly Barbar’s aircraft transaction experience was developed through her relationship with General Electric Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), having worked in GECAS’s commercial aircraft financing business, as well as having assisted corporations and individuals in their commercial, corporate and private aircraft transactions.
