Construction Law Experience: Stephen Lipton’s extensive construction law experience includes litigation involving construction and land development in commercial, condominium, public and residential projects, as well as contracting in major construction projects. He has dealt with high-rise construction, multi-building projects, residential development and housing subdivision projects, courthouse design, hospital construction, waste treatment facilities, land development issues, building moratorium claims, cost overrun claims, leasehold build-out claims, building control systems, and such diverse construction defect claims as post-tension and patented floor slab systems, building cladding, waterproofing and roofing systems, glass balcony railing systems, fire-rating defects and fire sprinkler systems. His experience includes major land development projects and eminent domain cases.

Construction Litigation & Appeals: Terry McConnell's construction law experience includes litigation involving owners, contractors, subcontractors, materialmen and sureties in such projects as a major metropolitan airport terminal in Pennsylvania, a major theme park in Florida, environmental systems for a metallurgical vanadium plant in Ohio, a courthouse complex in New York, and an NFL stadium in Michigan, as well as numerous retail and residential developments in Florida. His appellate experience includes many significant issues affecting the construction industry. Mr. McConnell has served as an adjunct professor in law and ethics at the University of Miami, Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, and is a regular guest lecturer in construction law at the University of Miami School of Law. He has also lectured on construction law at Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, and the Dade County Bar Association Construction Law Committee.
