
Jeffrey W. Miller
Jeffrey W. Miller possesses a diverse legal background with more than 15 years of transactional, regulatory and litigation experience. He began his career in Washington DC representing major telecommunications clients with a focus on transactional and regulatory matters, and later served as General Counsel for CARMA International, a global communications consulting firm.
In 2005 Mr. Miller relocated to Fort Lauderdale to join a boutique admiralty firm specializing in the yachting industry. Over the past five years Mr. Miller’s practice has focused on maritime transactional matters, and in particular those relating to yacht construction, sales, finance, chartering, registration, and crewing. His extensive corporate experience and a true passion for the yachting industry enable him to provide creative and effective solutions for the most challenging transactions. Mr. Miller also represents clients in litigation relating to yacht ownership including maritime lien claims, yacht construction/refit claims, chartering and crew disputes.
Mr. Miller holds a JD from the University of San Diego, where he was a member of law review, and an LL.M. in International Law from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he finished first in his class and was awarded the school prize for his academic performance. Mr. Miller is licensed in Florida, the District of Columbia, California, and Colorado, and is admitted to practice before the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
